Lightning damaged some core routers, they had to be replaced which took some time.

One of our networks is still experiencing an error. We have tracked it down to a configuration problem between BGP and OSPF. The repairs shouldn't take much longer.

This morning there was a denial of service attack on one of our networks. The link was cleared and the attack stopped.

There was a router problem this morning we had to re-config one of the WAN ports, looks OK now.

The authentication server's database has been repaired.

dial-up authentication servers have been having a problem today and when we restarted them tonight they went off-line, work still in progress 10:45pm.

May 13 Ottawa-Toronto link failure Early this morning network connectivity was lost between Ottawa and Toronto. This affects servers located in the downtown Ottawa POP, including PPPoE login authentication servers. The outage is due to a failed Bell PVC that provdes ethernet connectivity between the Toronto and Ottawa POPs. A ticket has been opened with Bell. It is expected to be fully functional by 1300.
